Pliant is looking for a Marketing Operations Manager (m/f/d) to help us deliver operational excellence within our growing marketing team. The ideal candidate has a solid business sense balanced with strong system technical aptitude. They will play a key role in the success of our marketing programs, processes and should be very comfortable in leveraging marketing automation technologies. We’re looking for someone highly detail oriented, relentlessly process driven and a stellar communicator both written and verbal.


  • Identify opportunities and propose solutions to improve existing processes or automate processes to improve and increase the team's ability to deliver marketing campaigns efficiently
  • Be the central touchpoint for all cross-functional communications during projects and lead cross-functional check-ins when appropriate to ensure a well orchestrated project; answer and/or address requirements clarification questions as needed
  • Align with stakeholders to clearly define campaign objectives, requirements, priorities and timelines for seamless hand-off to internal teams
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as data, product and engineering teams to deliver scalable marketing tools 
  • Partner with the wider marketing teams to define realistic launch dates, milestones, and project plans for initiatives and high priority projects
  • Take ownership of reporting efforts; along with the data team, ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of marketing data
  • Monitor deliverability for all email campaigns, keeping benchmark documentation, flagging deliverability concerns and providing solutions when necessary
  • Become an expert in our chosen marketing solutions, ensure widespread knowledge and team’s use of them on a daily basis
  • Assist in building and championing internal processes; ensure adherence to processes and analyse ways in which they can be further improved
  • Stay current with developing marketing systems ecosystems and other system best practices to drive continuous improvement
  • Partner with marketing team leaders to build out year long project cadence, resourcing and staffing plans


  • Experience leading and managing a team
  • 3+ years of CRM and marketing automation experience (e.g. Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot, etc.). Hubspot is a big plus
  • Ability to translate and communicate complex technical concepts in non-technical, business terms for various stakeholders
  • Understand high-level platform capabilities to compare with stakeholder requirements and make suitable recommendations
  • Has a mix of marketing strategy, project management, customer journey implementation and email deployment experience, with an emphasis on platform knowledge and expertise
  • Passionate about marketing technology and supporting data-driven marketing & innovation
  • Hands-on problem solver with proven technical background to identify and solve sophisticated business problems
  • Knowledge about email compliance best practices (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL)
  • Strong project management skills and expertise designing and implementing process improvements
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholder, priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Service-oriented attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player - works well with others
  • Fluent in English. German would be a nice plus
